- Buddha Park - This famous sculpture park has more than 200 religious sculptures. Including a high reclining image of the Buddha, this is about 40 meters tall. In case you want to take a photo, then the best spot is the top of pumpkin structure looking at the entrance you will be amazed at how it has been crafted to resemble a demons mouth. This park was built in 1958 and has been one of the major attractions in the country. Besides, a local eatery and a cafe have been to offer food and drinks to tourists. - Lao National Museum - A visit to this place is a very good way to know about the history of Lao. Although many of the features are faded and the buildings old, the museum still covers a lot of ground in terms of the prehistoric times to the modern times. It shows all the transitions during this time. The range of artifacts and the things stored are not well organized yet you will still be able to see amazing features. At the ground floor, you will find ancient features that can be traced back to the history of the region. A point of caution is that no bags or cameras are allowed to the museum. Moving to this place is very easy using hired car, you can access it right from the airport
- The presidential palace - This building was first started in 1973. Initially this ground used to house the royal Lao government. Due to political change that took place, the building was not completed until much later. In 1986, it finally opened its doors, albeit as venues for government ceremonies and functions and not as a presidential palace. It is imposing with elegant beauty that is unrivaled by any other building in the town. Surrounding the palace are well-manicured lawns and gardens with towering walls built for security. This place should not be confused by the official residence of Lao president.
