Nairobi Airport which is known by another name as Jomo Keyatta International Airport is the largest airport in East and Central Africa. It is also the central point for all the aviation operation in the region. Its location is 18 kilometers to the east of the city in a suburb called Embakasi. International flights use units 1 and 2 while unit 3 is set aside for domestic flights. Both units have airlines check-in desks and immigration desks are on the ground floor where you will be cleared before you head to the departure lounge on the first floor via elevators or escalators. Arriving passengers will also go through the immigration counters then to the luggage hall that is well equipped with luggage conveyor belts.

Transport from the airport is readily available because you have options like taxis booking offices, car hire, tour operators or hotel booking offices that are strategically situated at the arrival areas. There are also scheduled bus services that can be found at units 1 and 2 bus stops, and they operate between the city center and the airport. There are restaurants and cafes that you can get some food and refreshments from, and also you can have drinks and beverages from the vending machines that are in every unit.
