Memphis City is located on the southwestern part of the united states, and south of the Mississippi rivers. It's main airport is Memphis Airport and it is home to the international logistic company FedEx Express, which operates as its main freight carrier for most of the packages.
When you are traveling out of Memphis but within the United States, you need to give yourself at least one hour and a half before your flight departs. If your flight is international, then you will be required to be at the airport two hours before the the time of departure. There are various terminals which are categorized according to airlines. The terminal that you need to check-in at will therefore depend on the airline you are flying. On Terminal A you will get Air Tran, Terminal B has Delta Air Lines and US Airways, and Terminal C has Air Canada, America, Continental and United.
Ensure that your travel documents are in order before you get to the check-in desk. This will speed up the process. You can also use the self-service kiosk – but that again will depend on your flight - which offer quick, easy and safe options. Also make sure that your luggage does not exceed the limits. It is good to clear with the security early enough because that will give you time to refresh in one of the restaurants or bars, or even do some shopping. Arriving passengers should follow the signs to the baggage claim, and just like the departures there are three terminals that are categorized by flights. In each baggage claim there are monitors that will tell you the belt that your luggage will be on. It will take 20 minutes at most to arrive. Verify the tags on your luggage before organizing for a taxi, or before leaving the airport.
