As the cruise train arrives at the La Rochelle train station, the first attraction to spot is the 45meter tall clock tower that was built as part of the station. This clock was constructed in 1922 replacing a building that was there before the train tracks came about.

This one however is located in the town harbor and a climb to the top gives you a panoramic view of the entire town. • A Trip to I’lle de Re - if you will be having your car rental for much longer, don’t miss out on a trip to this attractive island. If you just arrived at the La Rochelle Train Station you can take the drive to the town, coast immediately, then drive the short 3km to the island. They say the locals normally go there to enjoy the breath of fresh air and alluring natural landscapes. This has to be part of your experience as well.
• The Town Market - this market is a gem in the town as it is the source for the freshest vegetables and flowers city dwellers like to buy. There are lots of good things to sample in the market and almost everything is delicious!
